About

My name is Gerhard Stephan.

I’m a self employeed developer and .NET enthusiast who wants to share some knowledge with the willing reader.

I started to develop professional software in the year 1993 using Pascal and Watcom C++. Followed by a short time of Delphi development until I switched again to Microsoft Visual Studio C++ in year 1997. In year 2001 I was developing one and a half year in Java until I switched to C# .NET at the beginning of 2003.

All the time I was working in a many different software projects, learned a lot of new techniques and software skills. But all in all I’m still fascinated of development.

My passion are two software projects that I have been developed and distributed by my own.

The first is the ObjectMapper .NET, an O/R Mapper for .NET that has many advantages compared to Hibernate. Another is TimePunch, a time recording tool for self employeed people and companies.

That’s the short summary of my career as a software developer.
